As 2024 comes to a close, we’re reaching out to let all our customers know that our production schedule is nearly at capacity, and order books are busy closing this week. 

To ensure you receive your décor or furniture by year’s end, now is the time to secure your order. 

The order cut-off date for 2024 delivery, for most of our FURNITURE ITEMS, is Friday 1 November. Ordering your furniture this week, ensures delivery during December 2024.

Most furniture orders placed from Saturday 2 November onwards, might only be ready for delivery in the new year. Best to ask us first before placing your order. 

Select décor and furniture (such as our steel beds or steel cots) can be ordered for December 2024 delivery, on or before Thursday 14 November. 

Our last day in the office will be Wednesday 11 December 2024. The support staff office will be closed for the festive season, from Thursday 12 December 2024 until Tuesday 14 January 2025.

Orders can still be placed though our online store during the festive period but will only be added to production queues from Wednesday 15 January 2025 onwards, for delivery during January / February 2025.

We would like to get your Design Store décor and furniture items to you before the upcoming holidays. Our sales team are standing by to take your orders before our annual closure mid-December 2023.

Orders can still be placed though our online store during the festive period but will only be added to production queues from 16 January 2024 onwards, for delivery during January / February 2024.

To avoid the disappointment of having to wait until early in the new year for delivery, it is best to place your order as soon as possible with us. Towards year-end, our workshops deal with a higher volume of incoming orders and requests. Although everyone is working extremely hard to complete all orders, this still means that production lead-times this time of year may generally be a week or two longer. Products that usually have a lead-time of 4 weeks might very well take 6 weeks now.

Where has 2021 gone? It’s somehow already the end of the year.

With only a few weeks left in the year, it’s time to start focusing on finding ways to end the year on a high note and get some momentum going as you go into 2022. There's no better way to do it than going on a well-deserved holiday. All our artisans and manufacturers that bring comfort and style to your home couldn't agree more.

Our orders for 2021 delivery are closing soon. Order cut-off dates range from 24 October to 8 December for delivery by mid-December.

Towards year-end, our workshops deal with a higher volume of incoming orders and requests. Although they are working extremely hard to complete all orders, this does mean that production lead times are generally a week or two longer. Products that usually have a lead-time of 4 weeks might very well take 6 weeks now.

Another year-end, another summer holiday is almost here, another crazy busy festive season is almost upon us. This year was weird, but we’re grateful for some more normal now, and for all the incredible orders throughout lockdown and beyond. Everyone deserves a holiday, right? This also applies to the various artisans that manufacture the decor and furniture which Design Store stocks.

Note that furniture order cut-off dates for 2020 delivery will range from mid-October to end-October.

To avoid the disappointment of having to wait until early 2021 for delivery, it's best to order all furniture ahead of even end-October. Production lead-times are generally a week or two longer this time of year, as workshops deal with a higher inflow of end-of-year orders versus the first half of the year. This means products that usually have a lead-time of 4 weeks might very well take 6 weeks now.

Décor, children’s furniture and lighting can be ordered until 15 November for December delivery. Art, certain rugs and homeware can be ordered until 6 December for December delivery.

Our support staff office is closed from 12 December until 11 January - orders for completion January / February 2021 can be placed during this period but will only be added to production queues in January once the workshops open again.

Design Store and the workshops around South Africa that we work with, welcomes Level 4 lockdown with open arms. We are relieved and extremely grateful that we can start fulling orders again. 

After 5 long weeks, we can slowly start returning to normal and commence some product-making!

The workshops can start manufacturing at 20% capacity from Monday 4 May and scale up to 50% production capacity from Level 3.

Unfortunately, all deliveries and courier services can only commence from Level 3.

As we receive more updates from government, we’ll update everyone accordingly in terms of expected timelines.

Please be kind and understand that the adjusted production and delivery timelines are out of our control.

Design Store office and workshops are closed until mid-January. Any new orders placed now will be processed from 13 January. 

Keep an eye out for new products coming to Design Store during 2020. 

We're excited about the brand new Stella Steel Cot with optional conversion side being added to Design Store in January. Inspired by international trends, the cot is practical and stylish and should suit most nursery themes. The Stella will be available in all the same popular colours as our much loved steel bed range. 

There are also a whole lot of new rugs and furniture coming to the store during the first few weeks of 2020. The new Organic Nesting Coffee Table Set will be an exclusive inhouse product and is made using the most beautiful quality White Oak.

Happy 2019 to all our existing customers and new visitors to our online store. Thank you for the continued support and especially to those customers who placed orders during December and waited patiently for their orders to be completed during January.

The ecommerce store will be experiencing minor improvements during February and March to enhance the customer user-experience even further. Our website speed has been a concern, and this will be one of the things we will be improving on. 

Many new products can be expected during the first half of 2019.

New locally produced décor and furniture will be sourced. We'll expand our offering on existing product ranges by adding more exclusive décor, artworks and furniture to Design Store this year. 

Design Store will be turning 2 years old during February. To reward our customers while we celebrate, we will be hosting a few giveaways. Best is to keep an eye out for our Instagram and Facebook pages as they launch.

Kindly note that some order cut-off dates for 2017 will be by end-October.

This rule mainly applies to our larger furniture items. Best is to check the production-times specified per individual product that you're interested in. Each product on Design Store lists its own, unique lead-time to make things easier for you.  

Furniture orders placed during November and December will be processed. Note though that our factories might only be able to tend to your order during January.

For most decor, homeware, lighting and kids product orders that come in before Friday 8 December we will be able to process before Christmas. 

Bags can be ordered until Tuesday 19 December for Christmas delivery.
